Why Lucy Loved the Buick LeSabre Featured at Our Cincinnati Auto Auction

2000 Buick LeSabre FrontThe Buick LeSabre featured at our auto auction this week is a roomy, full-sized car with at 3.8 L  Series II Buick 3800  V6 engine that gives you 205 hp. This is a solid, reliable family car, one of the last of its kind, as the LeSabre was discontinued in 2005.

The Buick LeSabre had a good run. The first model came out from General Motors in 1959, one of three new models designed to rectify a serious slump in sales. It worked, and the LeSabre was named America’s Best-Selling Full-Size Car by Car and Driver until the last model rolled out. It was so popular, in fact, that the LeSabre may be best known as the car driven by Lucille Balls character in I Love Lucy.

In an independent study in 1989, the LeSabre ranked number one for quality among respondents. Thats especially important to note in a model like the one on offer at our auction, which has clocked a smooth 118,956 miles in the decade or so since it rolled out of the factory. The models name ‘“ Le Sabre ‘“ is French for ”sword,’ and thats an apt name for a vehicle that will cut through the city getting 20 mpg and cruise along the highway at 29 mpg. Not bad for a 2005 model.

So if youre looking for a quality full-sized car, look no further than the Buick LeSabre. But you have to be present to win it!  Visit us at 10600 Springfield Pike on April 23rd to place your bid at Cincinnatis best auto auction. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m., and the auction starts at 9:00 a.m.
