Out-of-This-World Saturn SL1 Featured at Cincinnati Auto Auction
Enjoy your holiday weekend with a holiday deal at this week’s Goodwill Auto Auction! This week we are featuring a 1995 Saturn SL1 with just 23,893 miles on it… and it can be yours just in time for Labor Day.
This Saturn series of compact cars were made from 1991 through 2002. The car’s unique Z-body was created in-house by the Saturn team within General Motors. Because they used a spaceframe design, they were also able to use dent-resistant plastic pieces on the exterior instead of metal. Its distinctive silhouette makes it especially easy to find when you’re searching for it in the parking lot, too.
The four-door coup we are offering also gets out-of-this-world mileage: 28 MPG in the city and 40 MPG on the highway, which is incredible for a car made in this era. On the Edmonds.com forums, many Saturn owners praise the car’s reliability, fuel economy, handling. S-series Saturns have also been popular with rally race drivers, and Saturn SC’s competed in the SCCA World Challenge, winning several races during the 1995-1997 period.
