Looking for a unique luxury ride with low mileage? Then look no further than the 1978 Cadillac Eldorado on offer at our auto auction this Saturday.
The Cadillac Eldorado is one of the brands most iconic cars. The name was chosen by employees in an internal competition. The proposed 1952 concept vehicle they named was created in celebration of the companys golden anniversary. The winning name was proposed by Mary-Ann Marini, a secretary at the company. That name was Eldorado, which means ”the golden one’ or ”the gilded one’ and also refers to the mythic city of gold sought out by Spanish conquistadors.
Its aptly named, because this is a golden gem of a car. After ten generations, beginning in 1953, the last one rolled out of the factory in 2002, which means theyre getting tougher to find, too. Our 1978 model is from the seventh generation, with a classic look including fender skirts and frameless door glass. The original specs include a 7L V8 engine with 180 bhp and front wheel drive. If you think a car thats older than a lot of our bidders must come with a huge reading on the odometer, though, think again: this Eldorado has logged a modest 39,121 miles since 1978.
This is a fun, eye-catching luxury vehicle like no other, but you have to be present at this weeks auto auction to win. Come visit us on Saturday, April 16th at 10600 Springfield Pike in Woodlawn, Ohio. Registration starts at 8:00 a.m. at. Auction begins promptly at 9:00 a.m. Well see you there!
