The first Hyundai Sonata came to market in 1985 from South Korean manufacturer Hyundai. That first generation wasnt embraced by the market, though, and it wasnt until the second generation hit the streets in 1987 that the Sonatas future looked a bit brighter. Now its beloved of consumers across the globe.
The Kelley Bluebook community displays a lot of that love for the 2006 Sonata, rating it 8.9 out of 10 overall, where it also gets high marks for handling, interior quality, and acceleration. This comfortable 5-seater has front-wheel drive, and many safety features. These include six standard airbags, electronic stability control, a traction control system, and anti-lock brakes. The Sonata also gets solid gas mileage: up to 24 city and 34 highway, which is sure to save you some dollars.
The 2006 Hyundai Sonata on offer at our auto auction this week is from the fifth generation of this vehicle model. This model included Hyundais first all-aluminum engine, making the car a bit lighter to compensate for its larger size.
