Low-Mileage ‘˜Police Interceptor’ Sedan Featured at Goodwill Auto Auction

At Ohio Valley Goodwill, were original supporters of the Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle initiative. Our passion for repurposing used goods extends from our Donation Centers to our Retail Stores, and even to our Goodwill Auto Auction, where each week we auction off donated used cars so others can fix them up, drive them, and give them a new life. This week, our featured car is a 2001 Ford Crown Victoria’”the police interceptor version’”and like all our donated vehicles, its ready for a new purpose with a new owner!

Ford introduced the full-size Crown Victoria sedan in 1992 and debuted the law enforcement version in the same year. From 1997 to 2011, the Crown Victoria Police Interceptor was the most widely used vehicle for law enforcement in the U.S., Canada, and Saudi Arabia.

Like the standard Crown Victoria, the Police Interceptor has a 4.6-liter, V8 engine with a 4-speed, automatic transmission. However, the police version was engineered with an oil cooler that allowed the vehicle to operate at higher RPM without damaging the engine. It also offers a stiffer ride than the standard model and comes with a black grille and black steel wheels.

Since it was made to accommodate law enforcement, this sedan is comfortable and spacious on the inside. It also has a roomy trunk, with up to 20.6 cubic feet of cargo space.

Kelley Blue Book users give the 2001 Crown Victoria an average rating of 4.7 out of 5 for its quality, reliability, performance and comfort. Best of all, this car has just 86,416 miles on its odometer!

Due to its popularity as a police vehicle, the Crown Victoria Police Interceptor has been a feature in countless TV shows and movies. Dont miss your chance to own a piece of pop culture history’”be at our Goodwill Auto Auction on Saturday, January 25th to place your bid!
