The Triumph Spitfire was
first unveiled at the London Motor Show in 1962. Based on Italian designer
Giovanni Michelotti’s original prototype, this British two-seat roadster was
made to be a lightweight, budget-friendly sports car. Its name honors an iconic
WWII fighter plane, the Supermarine Spitfire.

Spitfire models were sold during the production run, and the 1976 model we’re
featuring is the Spitfire 1500. Only 95,829 Spitfire 1500s were produced
