Toyota first introduced the 4Runner in 1984. The first generation 4Runner was essentially a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck with a fiberglass canopy over the rear section, but over the years, the 4Runner has been redesigned as a true mid-sized SUV. Today, the 4Runner shares little in common with the pickup trucks it was originally based on.
The 1999 model were featuring is from the third generation, which shares the same chassis as the Land Cruiser four-door wagon. It features a 3.4-liter, V6 engine that produces 183 horsepower at 4800 RPM.
This 4Runner has a comfortable, roomy interior that seats up to five. A spacious cargo area provides 44.6 cubic feet and up to 80 cubic feet when the rear seats are folded down, making this vehicle a great choice for hauling groceries, luggage, camping gear’¦you name it!
