Research the charity

Make sure you have documents handy

Once youve selected a charity, its time to get your vehicles documentation together, including the vehicle title. If youre missing the title, youll need to get a duplicate copy. In addition to working with the DMV to obtain your vehicles title, you should also contact the charity to inform them about your situation, as they may be able to help you get your title sooner and expedite the donation process.

Find a donation site or arrange a tow

Now that youre ready to donate your vehicle to the charity of your choice, its time to find a donation site or arrange for your vehicle to be towed.
