Top Secret, Family-Friendly Car Featured at Cincinnati Auto Auction

04HondaOdyssey_calloutWhen you think “minivan” you don’t generally think “top secret,” but that’s exactly what the Honda Odyssey was when it was under development in the mid-1990’s. The Odyssey was developed in secret after being publicly cancelled to fake out competitors. Its designers told people they were developing a “private” jet instead of a minivan – nice cover story!

This family-friendly vehicle comes with all the safety perks you’d expect from a minivan. In fact, it was the first minivan ever to earn the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s Top Safety Pick award, and was listed among Car and Driver’s “5 Best Trucks” and Consumer Reports’ “Top Pick Minivan” many times. In 1996, it was even approved for use as a taxi in New York City.

The Honda Odyssey up for auction this Saturday is a 2004 model, and represents the second generation in the Honda minivan’s continuing evolution. This model got a big power increase from its first generation predecessor, and includes side torso airbags, rear disc brakes, and an automatic power driver’s window.

This is the perfect vehicle for big families or those with a lot of stuff to haul from place to place. When you’re ready to bid on this formerly top secret gem, come visit our auto auction on November 14th. The auction starts bright and early at 9:00 a.m. at 10600 Springfield Pike in Woodlawn, Ohio. Registration opens at 8:00 a.m., so come early or you’ll miss out!
